I was adopted into my fur-ever home October 2020 at age 9
months old just a few days before Halloween along with my cat sister and litter
mate Leah (a tabby). Leah is a gorgeous and athletic tabby cat that loves the
challenge of the climb. While Leah was extremely afraid of humans, I knew that
my human family was very special, and I loved them very much from the very beginning.
Unfortunately, it was very different for Leah. She hid everywhere and would not
come out until late at night to play and roam freely. She wasn’t able to go to
Disney World with us and missed out on some quality family time! She didn’t
trust humans at first but slowly but surely, she is getting better every day! What
a difference a year can make for a cat to adapt and change for the better.
Just before a few days before New Years Eve, our sister Star
showed up and became a part of our little family. She is a regal and beautiful,
fluffy cotton white cat with the prettiest green eyes. When she came home, Leah
and I were so excited and wanted to play with her and groom her so much. But
there was one small problem: Star does not like nor trust other cats!
Naturally, my feelings were hurt at first, but Leah took it worst! When Star
would hiss and growl at us, Leah would be so sad and frustrated. Sometimes they
got into the worst cat fights that I had to get into the middle of it and stop
it from continuing. It took a long time, but we all are now getting along
better and better. Star doesn’t hiss and growl at us like we are strangers. And
the best thing is I finally get to sit near my sister peacefully. Who doesn’t
love progress? Unfortunately, from time-to-time Star and Leah will clash and
get into fights or be competitive with each other. They love to see who can out
climb each other. Leah does not like to be beaten. As for me, climbing
competitions are not my thing. I like
climbing up midway since I am a bit klutzy and I’m not competitive at all. I
like comfort, eating good food and great company! Once fed, nothing better than
the companionship and love of my family: humans and animals alike.
Anyway, more later regarding my life journey as an adored
indoor black cat. As I begin to post more and more, I want to talk about what
it is like being a black cat in a world that thinks that we are bad and
unlucky. Changing these perceptions and misconceptions post by post and video
by video would mean the world to me.
Also, giving a voice to all the voiceless animals and pets around the
world and helping the less fortunate would also be something close to my furry
heart in making a lasting difference in this world. Please follow me and share
my message to everyone you know. Who knows maybe one day we can all be good
friends to each other? I’d love that a lot.
